2023. The United States of America is no longer united, instead it's been split in two: New America and Old America. New America is a paradise for the moderners and rich to roam free, and Old America is a nightmare for the old-timers and the poor to suffer in.
Your name is Arthur Macintosh... at least you think it is. Awakening in a small devout town in Montana, Old America, barely hanging on, you find that the splitting of America also split its cultures: New America carries the culture of the punk, modesty and scene of the 2010s, and Old America carries the culture of the corruption, fear and uncertainty of the American frontier. Armed only with 100-year old firearms, and a few horses, you and your apparent "friends" are given more questions than answers as you traverse the rough and unforgiving land of Old America in your quest to return to New America to stop a nuclear weapons trade.
Meeting new friends and enemies alike, learning old tricks, aiding in a revolution, overthrowing a government, breaking a bank, and bending space-time as we know it is just another day in the cursed abominations that are your Hot Dreams.
